MEN'S PERSONAL GROWTH GROUP

                                                       Now accepting new members

"For, brother, what are we?

We're the sons of our father,

Whose face we have never seen...

Whose life, like ours,

Was lived in solitude and in the wilderness..."

                                                                    Thomas Wolfe

The power of men gathering to nurture, confront and support themselves is a unique healing experience both individually and socially.  Only in the presence of other men can a man realize his true masculine Self.  This group is on-going, weekly, one and one half hour gathering and focuses primarily on the themes of family-of-origin, archetypes, and spirituality.

Meetings are Monday evenings 6:30 to 8 PM at North Decatur Psychotherapy Center, 2784 N. Decatur Road, Suite 145, Decatur, GA 30033.  The group is limited to 8 men.  Fee is $60 per session.  A six-month minimal commitment is required.  After the initial six months, continuation is the prerogative of each individual.  We add new members to maintain a maximum of eight as participants elect to leave.  The experience is open to all adult males ages 21 and older regardless of religion, national origin or sexual orientation.  If you are currently in psychotherapeutic relationship consent of your therapist is required.

Before participation each prospective member is required to have a free, evaluation session with the group's leader.  In addition, a post-group exit interview is also mandatory.  This termination visit is charged at the group rate.  These individual interviews allow me to assess the appropriateness of the group for each man, to assist in clarifying goals for participation and to ascertain the effectiveness of the group.
